There are many ways to get involved in the political process. Here are ten ways to engage in your community:

1. Vote

2. Contact a public official by phone, letter, or email

3. Write a letter to the editor

4. Volunteer for or donate money to a candidate, political party, or special interest group

5. Subscribe to a major newspaper, like The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal (or subscribe to your local paper!)

6. Attend a demonstration

7. Wear a political button or T-shirt, display a lawn sign, put a bumper sticker on your car

8. Share a message or video on the internet about your political views

9. Work with other people in your community to solve a problem or get something done

10. Run for office
